Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline Jolie~Pitt were born by caesarean section at the Lenval Hospital in Nice, France on July 12, 2008.
The rights for the first photos of Knox and Vivienne were sold to People Magazine and Hello! for $14 million! This is the most expensive celebrity pictures ever taken. The money went to the Jolie~Pitt Foundation to be used for charity efforts.
After months of tabloid speculation, Jolie confirmed she was expecting twins at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, but only after a fellow actor and co-star of Kung Fu Panda, Jack Black, accidentally let it slip to the world (during an interview with Angelina) that the couple was expecting twins.
They are the youngest children of Brad and Angelina; they join big brothers Maddox and Pax, and big sisters Zahara and Shiloh. Grandparents are Bill & Jane Pitt, Jon Voight, & the late Marcheline Bertrand. Aunt is Julie Neal Pitt. Uncles are Doug Pitt and James Haven.
